I was born in Araguaina (Tocantins, Brazil), my family moved to the city of Manaus (Amazonas), when I was ten years old.

 

I graduated from Civil Engineering in Manaus (1992) and started my first professional work in the Federal University of Roraima (1993). And the first activities a) Director of the Data Processing Center and b) Professor of Computer Science.

 

I have Master and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering from Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in 1998 and 2006, respectively, both in the area of Computational Modeling.

 

Currently, I'm Associate Professor of Computer Science at the C3 - Center of Computacional Sciences (since fundation, 2008) at the Federal University of Rio Grande (since 1999).
